iPhone and iPad through TestFlight

  • ThinkOS has completed Apple's TestFlight review and is approved for public testing. We're distributing the iOS app through TestFlight for now because we're making rapid changes and want to deliver fixes and improvements quickly before the full App Store release.
  • Install Apple's free TestFlight app on your iPhone or iPad if you do not already have it, then open the ThinkOS public TestFlight link on that device and tap Accept or Install.
  • New ThinkOS builds appear in TestFlight as they are released. You can update manually or enable automatic updates in TestFlight. Expect frequent changes, occasional rough edges, and features that may move while the early release develops.
  • TestFlight builds are available for up to 90 days. We plan to keep a current build available, but if a build expires, return to TestFlight for the newest one.
  • Feedback is part of this early release: send notes from TestFlight, including screenshot feedback when useful, so we can reproduce issues and improve the next build.

Highlights

  • Orbit is now the default experience, with starter prompts that disappear once a sphere has conversation history.
  • Drag threads to reorder them within a sphere’s sidebar list.
  • Failed chat sends now appear inline with options to retry or fix the selected engine.

Desktop

  • Settings search now matches page content, while thread search avoids duplicate results and shows cleaner previews.
  • Local engine setup verifies that models and bundled tools actually work, with clearer failure guidance and a repair action.
  • Plan-aware limits now clearly distinguish Free, Plus, and Team capabilities, including companion pairing, collaboration, hosted inference, workflows, agents, and trust history.
  • Secrets and Computer Use readiness views hide unavailable or irrelevant options, and credentials used on another machine are identified more clearly.

Reliability

  • Fixed black or blank windows after first-run setup, theme changes, and macOS window reopen actions.
  • Background thread completions no longer take over the active view, and rapid New chat clicks keep the header and composer in sync.
  • Canceling snapshot export or storage-location dialogs no longer closes Settings, and update failures now show friendly guidance.
  • Sidebar icons remain usable when zoomed, completed work timers stay accurate, and onboarding and local-model checks recover more reliably.
